Very nice. This is soothing and atmospheric, the way instrumental rock should be.
Although, I didn't like the wierd electronic sounds around the 1 minute and 2:08, marks and the very end. I think it would sound best if you stuck to the natural sounding piano, drums, guitar, bass, etc. and avoided cheesy-sounding keyboard effects.
Don't take what I'm saying the wrong way though, this is an awesome track. Nice work.

I am the 84th person to comment! How did I get to be so late! The whole Dmusic community is on this page! Oh yes water sounds and a bird! The beat is like walking so I feel I'm going on a journey here and I'm thinking about your title 'fog' so I feel like I can't see very well and the sounds are sort of brushing past me like branches and stuff. Sometimes they make me feel safe and sometimes they freak me a bit (like you get in the dark by shadows) Well, you have a hit sir, most obviously! What can I add to the clamouring voices above except 'bravo!'

No I personally liked the intro a lot, very suspensful! :thumb: The drums, how you use them, rocks well too I think! Maybe my main attraction to this song is about the melodies: I love the chorused guitar and it works so well "throughout the song", the way it returns. Great job on that! All the transitions are good, they are musically well done whether they are "softer" or "harder" so to say. Though there is one transition which, well it doesn't "break the song" or anything like that of course , but when I listen to it, I am startled and maybe I feel that the pleasure of the "surprise comeback" is not strong enough to outweigh that startling effect which occurs. I am talking about the transition around 1:10.
This is a sweet and mature tune, with more depht than I am used to in the musical contexts it tangents!

A smooth ride...
a "Very" pleasing musical adventure.
The clean guitars weave a tapestry that is accentuated nicely by the "tremolo" guitars. A sea of versatility, with the "Fog" rising off the ocean indeed.
This track could easily make it to the "Smooth Jazz" playlists across thye commercial airwaves..

The impression I get by listening is one of going out for a slow stroll on a stormy day, of not caring if it starts to rain, actually hoping the lightning starts so you can feel the reverberation of thunder surrounding you as you lift your head to accept the gift of water falling from the sky, hitting you on the forehead and slapping off the earth by your feet. Being in the middle of a thunderstorm makes you feel so insignificant yet so a part of the planet. Thanks for the image, well done.

Hooo yeah, That bass is speaking my tongue, brother. And the drums are flawless. And the funk influences are straight up palpable. While this doesn't get me thinking anything interesting or feel inclined to delve deeper in my investigation of all the wonderful sounds you've used, it does make me want to sway, groove, jive, hang a hand out the window on a late night drive down I-25 You've got a real jam here, Van.
